Job Title: Food Technician
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Location: Dodballapur, Bangalore and Belgaum
Reporting To: QA Head / Plant Manager
Experience Required: 2–4 years in food lab testing, preferably in flour milling or baking
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on QA/QC Technician to perform daily flour quality tests and support product validation. The ideal candidate will have experience in lab testing of wheat and flour, with knowledge of baking application trials.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing
- Conduct daily tests on wheat and flour (moisture, ash, gluten, falling number, farinograph, extensograph, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy, SOP compliance, and equipment calibration
- Report deviations and support root cause analysis
Application Trials
- Execute baking trials (bread, biscuits) for flour performance validation
- Document trial data, simulate customer conditions, and support product development
Documentation & Records
- Maintain lab registers, test reports, sample logs, and traceability
- Help prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for dispatches
Support QA Team
- Assist in audits, complaint investigations, and validation exercises
- Follow GMP, GHP, and FSSC food safety protocols
Key Requirements
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
- 2–4 years’ lab experience in a flour mill or bakery testing environment
- Proficiency in flour testing instruments and data accuracy
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with FSSC 22000 / HACCP standards
- Analytical thinking and interpretation of lab results
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Flexible availability for urgent testing
