Marketing Manager

Job Title: Marketing Manager / Business Development Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Doballapur, Bengaluru (with travel as needed)
Reporting To: Business Head
Experience Required: 4–7 years in B2B sales or food/FMCG industry, with team handling exposure

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven Business Development Executive / Manager to lead strategic sales initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term client relationships. The role involves a mix of fieldwork, digital lead generation, sales team planning, and customer engagement. Candidates must be entrepreneurial, field-oriented, and capable of handling both customer-facing and internal sales functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and qualify B2B prospects through online research, market mapping, references, and digital platforms (LinkedIn, JustDial, Google, etc.).
  • Schedule and attend meetings with potential customers to present BRFM’s products and services.
  • Follow up diligently on leads and guide them through the sales funnel to conversion.

2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customers (HORECA, distributors, bakeries, etc.).
  • Act as the single point of contact for customer queries, complaints, feedback, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct client visits, product presentations, and sampling as required.

3. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to the creation of quarterly and annual sales strategies aligned with company targets.
  • Maintain and manage a structured sales pipeline and follow-up system.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and market research to support strategic pricing and positioning.

4. Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a small sales team (executives or field representatives).
  • Define individual and team KPIs, sales targets, and track performance.
  • Conduct weekly performance reviews and provide ongoing field coaching and feedback.

5. Marketing & Brand Awareness

  • Coordinate with the internal marketing or design team to develop brochures, WhatsApp creatives, and digital campaigns.
  • Drive brand awareness through trade fairs, industry exhibitions, dealer meets, and client-specific outreach activities.
  • Gather customer insights and contribute to product positioning and communication strategies.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Food Technology); MBA is a plus.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in B2B / General Trade / HORECA / Institutional / Bakery product sales.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to independently handle clients and manage sales teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and engage in on-field business development.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and Excel-based dashboarding.
  • Understanding of food ingredients, wheat flour market, or FMCG distribution models.
  • Fluent in English, Hindi, and local regional languages.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to sales reporting and team planning.
